Safety and health standards at escar Europe 2020

Our safety precautions to protect you while networking

The COVID-19 pandemic has affected us all and has had a major impact on how we hold events. As the organizer, the safety of our participants, exhibitors, service partners and employees is our top priority. At the same time, we would like to ensure that everyone at escar Europe can take advantage of the usual important personal networking, but safely and with social distancing.

We look forward to seeing you at escar Europe. The escar Europe team as well as our service partners are maximizing their efforts to make the leading Automotive Cyber Security Conference a safe place where you can still network efficiently.

We have taken extensive measures to protect everyone involved. The escar Europe protection concept is based on the hygiene and infection standards adopted for trade fairs in the Corona Protection Ordinance of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Our already high hygiene and safety standards have also been further developed and enhanced and will be applied in the best possible way for a unique, large-scale location.

As at: August 14th, 2020

The concept is based on the current requirements of the Corona Protection Ordinance of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia dated August 14th, 2020. The protection and hygiene rules may change by the date of the event. Where necessary, the parameters of the event will be adjusted and the latest findings will be regularly included in the revision of this document. We will inform all participants of any relevant changes in good time.

Thank you for your trust and we look forward to seeing you at escar Europe 2020.

Entrances and exits are separate and signposted accordingly.

The plenary hall measures 1,230 m² and offers enough space for all participants at escar Europe. The chairs are set out in the lecture area so that social distancing can be observed.

Icon

Each escar Europe visitor will be registered so that we can comply with our obligation to document chains of infection. The ticket and entry checks will be contactless and electronic.

The participants are assigned an exclusive seat in the lecture area and in the workshops. They are free to move around all other areas.

Being polite and courteous to each other is very important, particularly in business. However, avoid handshakes at escar Europe! Our team and service partners will greet you with a smile, even if it is under a mask. Feel free to "smize" back.

Apart from when seated in the presentation rooms, the catering area and the open-air areas, everyone must wear a face mask in order to protect all conference participants. Face masks will be provided free of charge.

Markings on the floors in the registration area ensure that social distancing is observed. The navigation system lead visitors in and through the event hall at relevant points.

Disinfectant dispensers will be available at the entrance and in the signposted areas. Please remember to wash your hands regularly during your visit.

Icon

Keep a general minimum distance of 1.5 m apart. The conference is set up in all areas to ensure that this distance can be maintained. Everyone is also asked to keep their distance during one-on-one conversations and talks at the booth.

Icon

A comprehensive and intensive cleaning concept is in place for all areas of the conference, particularly in critical areas at more frequent intervals.

Icon

All ventilation systems will be operated at the maximum possible air rate. Access doors will be left open where possible.

Control and quality assurance: Compliance with protection and hygiene measures is supported at the event by additional trained staff.

Icon

The catering concept will comply with the hygiene and industry standards applicable at escar Europe.

We recommend using the Federal Government’s corona warn app. Information about the app and downloading it can be found here. If possible, please use the app for at least 14 days before the event.
